Our customer, Samsung Electronics Corporation, is announcing a vacant full-time position as a software / firmware RnD engineer at the Corporate RnD Center of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. in the Republic of Korea (South Korea).

QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), Master of Science (M.Sc.), or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)
Major: Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Communications Engineering, Telecommunications, Software Engineering, Network Technology, System-on-Chip Design (SoC), Applied Mathematics, Physics, Optics, or Chemistry

LANGUAGES:
Good command of both oral and written English

TECHNICAL:
The right candidate should specialize in one of the areas:

System Architecture / Beam-Forming / Acoustics Research and Development:
-Beam-forming algorithm development
-Ultrasonic physics / acoustics
-Medical ultrasonic system architecture


Nanoscale High-Performance Device Development:
-Quantum (ballistic) transport, spin transport
-Non-equilibrium Green function calculation
-Band-to-band tunneling in III-V transistors
-Design based on high-performance device simulation (such as 3D FET, high electron mobility transistor (HEMT), tunneling FET (TFET)
-Nano-implant / stamp development
-CMOS design
-LED / OPV / organic image sensor material composition


MEMS Design and Process:
-Micro-actuator design and process
-MEMS device process design and fabrication
-Power electronics circuit and control
Inverter design and digital vector control
Electromagnetic simulation


Surgical Robot Control System Development:
-Surgical robot control and design (such as teleoperation, force feedback control, surgical instrument design)
-Surgical image guidance (such as computer vision for the surgical robot, visual tracking, image registration, surgical AR development)


Graphene Research:
-Synthesis of graphene by CVD and wet chemical methods
-Study and evaluation of multilayered structure
-Fabrication and characterization of functional graphene-based devices


Point of Care Testing (POCT):
-Biochemical assay for immunoassay cancer cell and tissue
-Microfluidics / microTAS for LOC and nanoelectronic research


Biochemical Engineering:
-Metabolic engineering
-Development of biological systems: microarray and metabolomics (studying of small-molecule metabolite profiles)
-Synthetic biology: Genome engineering
-In-silico modeling: Metabolic network modeling
-Genetic engineering of microalgae


Battery / Fuel Cell Research and Development:
-Next Generation Li-ion / Li-Air battery: Nonflammable ionic liquid electrolyte


Solar Cell Research and Development:
-Power management system, circuit, packaging, system integration
-MOCVD, Nanocomposition


Chemical Physics:
-Reaction kinetics, thermo-mechanical property control, electronic property control


Advanced Analysis Technology:
-Dynamic In-situ TEM (such as the in-situ heating / cooling TEM, environmental TEM, Dynamic electron holography, 4D electron microscopy)


Materials Modeling and Simulation Research and Development:
-Quantum mechanics, atomistic simulation, statistical mechanics, meso-scale simulation, and continuum mechanics


DRAM / PRAM / SRAM / Flash Memory Design:
-Flash solution software
-Controller


DRAM Cell Research and Development:
-Semiconductor physics, DRAM
